# Document too large

## It seems like the document I wanted to sign is too large. What can I do?

**Note:** You can face this issue when signing from OneDrive, SharePoint, or Google Drive.

When you sign a document that is not a PDF, Skribble first creates a PDF document out of it. This happens in the background, and you won't even notice it.

If the document is too big, you'll see the following message: **Oops, your document is too large.** The maximum size allowed varies depending on the document type and is defined by Microsoft and Google.

Here's what you can do:

- **Try again with a smaller document**

Reduce your document's size and try again. You could remove or replace large images, for example.

- **Try again with a PDF document**

Create a PDF document and try again. The maximum allowed size is 40 MB.
