Why is it necessary to create a PDF document to sign it with Skribble directly from Google Drive?
Note: This feature is available to Skribble Business customers.
When you sign a document that is not a PDF directly from Google Drive, Skribble converts* it into a PDF in the background. If you have the necessary access rights for the document, this happens automatically, and you won’t even notice it.
Tip: Currently, we can convert the following document types into a PDF document: Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets and Microsoft Word documents
If you don’t have the necessary rights, we won’t be able to create a PDF, and you won’t be able to sign the document. If this is the case, you'll see a message notifying you about the missing rights.
Ask the document owner to give you the necessary rights by doing the following:
- Click Share at the top right of the document
- Check the box next to Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy
