Signing not possible. What now?

There might be several reasons why you can't sign a document. For example, you've changed your SIM card or you need to verify your identity.

If you see the message "This document can't be signed", it means that our identification partner Swisscom can't verify that you're really you. Usually, for one of the following reasons:

  • You've changed your signature password.
  • You've activated Mobile ID after identity verification.
  • You have a new SIM card, phone number, or mobile phone.
  • Your identity card or passport, which you used to get identified, has expired.

What does this mean?

In none of these cases can Swisscom guarantee that the person signing is the same person they identified. For security reasons, you need to verify your identity again.
