Setting/changing signature password

Two-factor authentication is required by law for signing with the qualified electronic signature (QES). This includes your signature password, which you'll use to confirm your identity when signing.

Important! You'll need to get identified again after changing your signature password.

  • Signature password and SMS code

After getting identified, our partner Swisscom will send you a text message to accept the Terms of use and set your signature password. You'll use this password each time you sign with QES. You'll also receive an SMS code to confirm your identity when signing.

As an alternative to the signature password, you can use Mobile ID. Here's how it works.
