Why do I have to create a signature password?
Two-factor authentication is required by law for signing with the qualified electronic signature (QES). This includes your personal signature password, which you use to confirm your electronic signature on every document you sign.
Once you’ve verified your identity, you’ll receive an SMS from Swisscom to accept the Terms and Conditions and create your signature password.
Important! We recommend that you keep your signature password in a safe place. If you reset it, you’ll have to verify your identity once again.
As an alternative to the signature password, you can use Mobile ID. See here how it works.
